I’m a Senior Researcher in philosophy at the University of Oulu (Finland), and I’m also an affiliated researcher in philosophy at the University of Turku (Finland) and Uppsala University (Sweden). My philosophical interests lie at the intersection of metaphysics, philosophy of mind and action, and ethics. This is why I feel at home in early modern philosophy, where thinkers such as Descartes, Spinoza, and Leibniz try to develop a comprehensive understanding of the universe and our place in it as agents and thinkers. So far, I’ve mainly focused on Leibniz’s metaphysics and its relation to his theory of cognition and ethics.
